 CUERNAVACA

Cuernavaca, known as the "City of the Eternal Spring" is a resort city and the capital of the state of Morelos.

Cuernavaca is located 55 miles (89 kilometers) south of Mexico City. The city has a pleasant climate, with an average year-round temperature of 73° F (23° C) that has attracted vacationers since the days of the Aztec emperors.

As the state capital of Morelos, Cuernavaca offers excellent schools for tourists to learn Spanish, firendly people, beautiful architecture, magnificent historical sites, golf ciurses and excellent spas.




Attraction in learning Spanish in Cuernavaca began in the 1960s specializing in teaching Spanish to foreigners. Since then the number of schools have multiplied in recent years making Cuernavaca perhaps the best place in the world to study Spanish.

Cuernavaca also offers magnificent gardens, museums, churches and colonial structures. Such attractions include the 16th Century Cathedral, Cortez Palace, San Anton waterfall, and Borda Garden.  Make sure to stop by and see the Xochicalco archaeological site declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO.

The city also has numerous restaurants with national and international cuisine that will satisfy any ones palate. You can also find a great variety of bars where you can enjoy a bohemian atmosphere and lavish discotheques that will keep you dancing until 6:00am.
